Located in central Los Angeles, U.S., Angels Flight is regarded as the world's shortest railway. It extends only 99 meters, and is built along a small hill. There are two cars running on the railway. Each one is capable of carrying 25 people up and down the hill. The first, with a one-way ticket costing only one cent, opened in 1901 and operated until 2001. Now the railway is reopened to the public with a one-way ticket for 25 cents.
