First Chinese to circumnavigate the world by air

Chen Wei, the first Chinese citizen attempting to travel around the world in a private plane, is endowed with the "Flying Ambassador" certificate. Chen Wei arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on July 12. (Xinhua/Chen Changqi)

On May 22, Chen began his journey in Memphis city. He has finished 70 percent of his since he arrived in Beijing. According to the record, there were a total of 166 travelers who successfully accomplished the circumnavigation, and Chen will be the 167th, and also the first from China.
