First sewage treatment plant put into test operation in Lhasa, Tibet

Photo taken on July 14, 2011, shows a corner of the first sewage treatment plant in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The first sewage treatment plant in Lhasa was completed and put into test operation on Thursday. The plant adopts CAST biological treatment and has a daily sewage treatment capacity of 50,000 tons. Funded by the central governmen, the total investment of the plant is 122 million Yuan.(Xinhua/Wen Tao)
