Villagers plant artemisia in the sand area in Liuyaotou Village, Yanchi County, northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, July 1, 2011. Yanchi County has been mobilizing all its people to control the 300,000 mu (200 million square meters) remaining sand dunes in the county within three years since last year. Entitled a national advanced county of desertification control and forestation, Yanchi has basically fixed up 500,000 mu traveling dune and restored vegetation on 1.2 million mu desertified grassland so far.
