On June 17, rescue workers try to repair the broken tracks. A hard rain hit the Baiguo–Puxiong section of Chengdu-Kunming railway on the night of June 16, triggering some landslides and halting some parts of the rail sections. About 5,000 passengers were held up by the landslides, but no casualties have reported. Now the Ministry of Railways has launched an emergency plan and dispatched rescue workers to the scene.
