Forest fire breaks out near Lanzhou

On June 7, firefighters assemble to get to the fire scene. On that day, a forest fire caused by lightning broke out in the Tianwanggou of Liancheng National Preserve in Gansu province. It is roughly estimated that the fire has spread across more than 50 hectares of forest zone. More than 600 firefighters and local troops participated in the rescue mission. As of press time, the fire has not been put out yet. The fire scene is 200 kilometers away from downtown Lanzhou. (Gao Jianjun/Xinhua)
