More than 40 of China's ambassadors to foreign countries planted more than 200 trees at a piece of land where the ninth China International Garden EXPO will be held in 2013 along the Yongding River in Beijing's Feitai district on April 15.
It is learned from the preparatory office and the ninth China International Garden EXPO that construction will be finished on a garden with an area equal to about twice the size of the Summer Palace by the end of 2012. And by then, hundreds of scenic spots, including Suzhou gardens, Lingnan gardens, Sichuan gardens and European as well as American gardens will stand in the area.
