The Yellow River runs through the Ulan Buh Desert in Dengkou County of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, March 16, 2011. As temperature rises, ice in the Yellow River melts. Each year, 60 million tonnes of sand from the Ulan Buh Desert ends up in the Yellow River. (Xinhua/Ren Junchuan)
