China's first wild polar bear specimen owned by a private person was displayed in Yancheng Wild Animal World in Changzhou, a city of east China's Jiangsu Province on March. 8. Xu Weiyong, the chairman of Yancheng Wild Animal World, purchased the polar bear from Alaska, the United States and took four months to finish processing the specimen.
It is introduced that the polar bear specimen is very rare in China and it is worth two million yuan.
Processing and displaying a polar bear specimen is done in order to call people to protect our environment and protect wild endangered animals, Xu said.
