Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity railway put into operation

A train travels on the newly-launched Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity railway in south China's Guangdong Province, Jan. 7, 2011. The intercity rail line, with speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour, was put in operation Friday. It will shorten the travel time between Guangzhou and Zhuhai down to about 40 minutes.
