Prices of vegetables fall for fifth week

Prices of vegetables in China fell for a fifth week since the start of November this year, as combined price declines reached 17.4 percent during the period, a report by the Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday. During Dec. 6 to 12, prices of 18 types of vegetables in 36 major cities of China fell by 3.6 percent compared to the previous week, and fell by 4.5 percent year on year, the report showed.
