'Dragon-2010' drill held in South China Sea

On Nov. 12, the "Dragon-2010" annual routine drill was held in the South China Sea. The South China Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army Navy, the force that carried out the drill, dispatched more than 100 armed helicopters, minesweepers, hunting submarines, landing ships, amphibious armored vehicles, assault boats and a variety of direct fire weapons with more than 1,800 soldiers. The landing combat drill was organized into four parts: motor assembly; loading and travel; landing and assault as well as seizing and consolidating the beachhead.
