New Zealand, known as Middle Earth after the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, is to give Shanghai Expo visitors a deep impression by means of a rooftop wonderland in its pavilion.

"It's one of the most wonderful parts of our pavilion," said Phillip Gibson, commissioner-general of the New Zealand pavilion.

Aligned with the expo theme, "Better City, Better Life," the New Zealand Pavilion will follow the theme, "Cities of Nature, Living between Land and Sky." The rooftop garden, being covered by plants and shrubbery, highlights the country's natural green space.
