Red deer at foot of Tianshan Mountain, NW China

A herd of red deer are seen on a snow-covered pasture at the foot of Tianshan Mountain in Hami, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Feb. 14, 2009. The number of the red deer, camels and ostriches here is increasing in recent years, due to the improvement of featured raising measures. (Xinhua/Zhu Zhenghua)
