Pang Hanyue redoes the make-ups in the lounge at the 2011 Shanghai auto show in east China's Shanghai Municipality, April 22, 2011. Pang Hanyue works as a car model at the Shanghai auto show, officially known as Shanghai international Automobile Industry Exhibition. Pang and her fellow models help the exhibitors to promote the automobiles produced by Chinese auto manufacturer Chery during the exhibition. Every morning at eight o'clock, Pang Hanyue and other models catch a bus to the exhibition center. They have to perform in scheduled showings as well as pose with the cars during promotions. Because of the tight schedule, they have to take instant noodles and boxed food for launch. Pang is a third year student at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, taking part in the auto shows is part of their curriculum. "This is the second time I participate in Shanghai auto show," she said, "we have to concentrate while on the stage, try not to blink eyes, keep a best smile". "We have to be careful to our behaviors and postures, a slight mistake could tarnish our image so as to the image of the company." Pang Hanyue and her fellows have to bear tearful eyes caused by the flashlight, jerky legs caused by long time standing, blisters caused by highheels. But she is happy about this job, "every time we take part in the shows I can make new friends. It will always be interesting when young people get together."(Xinhua/Pei Xin)
