Toilet paper wedding dress: Made in Israel
|Israeli designers have paraded a ready-to-wear toilet paper dress, specially made to celebrate the most requested wedding date in Israel and the world, September 9th, 2009.
Prospective newly-weds had been planning to tie the knot on Wednesday because they consider the date memorable or auspicious. Models posed in toilet paper wedding gowns and strutted down the isle with a "groom". It's the perfect look for the emotional bride: a wedding gown made of toilet paper for wiping away tears of joy and dabbing at running make-up. The dresses are woven out of pink, yellow and white toilet paper. They will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to a local charity.

Seven designers created gowns made mostly from toilet paper as part of an advertising campaign for an Israeli toilet paper company to mark September 9, 2009 (09/09/09), one of the most popular dates for wedding ceremonies.
