Vietnam confirmed one more death of A/H1N1 influenza, raising the country's total number of flu deaths to 36, said a report on the website of the Ministry of Health on Friday.

The patient is a 31-year-old pregnant woman in a central highland province of Vietnam. She was taken to the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Tropical Diseases on Oct. 15 with cough, running nose and pneumonia. The woman was treated with Tamiflu but her health condition kept being worse.

She died on Oct. 27 due to heavy pneumonia. Her sample was tested positive with A/H1N1 influenza, said the ministry.

Up to now, Vietnam has confirmed a total of 10,568 A/H1N1 cases, 300 of whom are being treated in hospitals and kept separated from public.

The ministry recommended that all people should be active in fighting against A/H1N1.

Local people are advised to go to hospital whenever having flu-like symptoms and not to use Tamiflu without doctors' recommendation.
