Only one suspect case of influenzaA/H1N1 remains in Chile, with over 100 cases dismissed, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.

Among the preciously-reported 148 suspect cases, 31 had been excluded from the group and 116 others had been eliminated, the ministry said.

The only remaining suspect patient was quarantined in the Thorax Hospital in Santiago, where most of the possible cases had been handled.

Chile would continue its preventative measures such as vaccine campaigns against the flu under the current situation in the world, the Interior Ministry said.

Chilean authorities have installed five scanners at Santiago airport, where all passengers from the United States, Mexico and Canada will be checked.
