The confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu in Panama has risen to 29, including 11 confirmed on Tuesday, Panamanian Health Ministry said.

Authorities said most of the new cases were patients between 7 and 12 years old, and seven cases were related to infections at schools.

The health ministry has intensified sanitation measures at schools. Some school activities were canceled in order to impede the spread of the virus.

Of the 29 confirmed patients, 27 were in their homes in quarantine, while the other two had been taken to hospital centers.
