The movie "I Am Number Four", starring English teen idol Alex Pettyfer, is likely to be the box-office No.1 at this Presidents Day holiday weekend, according to media rerports Thursday.

This Sci-fi adventure tells the story of an alien teenager hiding out on the Earth from the ruthless species that killed his family.

The excellent perfomances of Director D.J. Caruso and actors earned highly praises, box-office observers said, adding that the film could do in the low 20 million U.S. dollar range for the four days.

This is the first work of Disney's Touchstone Pictures with the DreamWorks title after DreamWorks' split with Paramount.

Over this long weekend, "Number Four" will face the challenges from other new titles. "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son", action-thriller "Unknown", romantic comedy "Just Go With It", "Gnomeo &Juliet" and "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" would all be the strong contenders in the theaters of this weekend.
