The thriller "Valkyrie," a story of Claus von Stauffenberg, a veteran colonel of the German campaign in North Africa, who spearheaded an attempt to assassinate Hitler in 1944, was premiered in London Thursday night.
U.S. actor Tom Cruise plays the colonel, a typical charater with eye patch and one arm. "Valkyrie" has caused some disputes in Germany, but Tom said he was accustomed to it.
"I've been through a lot of these things on these movies. People say 'why are you working on this movie?' and I remember with 'Rainman' and 'Interview With a Vampire' I went through it, " he added," I watched a lot of movies and read a lot of books as I played him and discovered who he is."
