On May 18, the Qin Terracotta Army Museum released three newly-unearthed color-painted warriors in the first pit. The warriors were multi-colored color and flamboyantly decorated.

On June 13, 2009, the first pit of the Qin Terracotta Army Museum officially launched the third excavation. The excavation area is only 200 square meters, which contains three girders and two holes. Some precious cultural relics such as the terracotta warriors, weapons and terracotta horses were found in the pit.

At present, more than 120 infantry and chariot warriors have been unearthed, which includes a military officer with scale-shaped armor called "the general warrior."
