Bangladesh is to hold a Chinese Food Festival from April 24 to May 1 in the capital Dhaka to promote Chinese culture.
Sabreen Rahman, public relations officer of Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka, a five star hotel in Bangladesh and also the organizer of the festival, told Xinhua on Monday that three Chinese chefs from Shanghai will make the authentic Chinese food in the festival.
Sabreen said since inception in 2006, Radisson has organized many food festivals, but it is the first time to organize a Chinese Food Festival.
"Chinese food is very popular to Bangladeshi people as well as people from other countries," she said.
Sabreen said at the inauguration ceremony that there will be a lion dance performance performed by Bangladesh Dragon and Lion Dance Federation.
"The guests at the festival can see the live cooking by the Chinese chefs and also watch the DVD programs which introduce the Chinese culture," she said.
Sabreen said there will be around 50 Chinese food items including main course, soup and salad at the festival.
