Visitors to Shanghai World Expo exceeds 33 million

The comfortable weather brought more visitors to the Shanghai World Expo on July 27, the 88th day after it opened. The number of visitors at the Shanghai World Expo Park reached 471,300 by 7:30 p.m. on July 27, and the cumulative number of visitors exceeded 33 million.
The Expo Park received a total of 126,500 visitors in travel groups from around the world, and 81,800 visitors with tickets from Expo gift packages on July 27. In addition, the Expo Park sold a total of 68,094 tickets, including 21,109 night tickets, that day.
The number of visitors entering the Expo Park at entrances on Jinghoutan, Shangnan Road, Changqing North Road and Gaoke West Road stood at 84,000, 77,000, 70,000 and 61,000, respectively, by 6 p.m. on July 27.
In addition, the Expo Park held a total of 75 cultural performances that attracted about 68,400 visitors by 5 p.m. on July 27. The public transportation at the Expo Park transported about 813,200 visitors and 6,243 volunteers serviced visitors on that day.
