The Victoria Terminus, finished in 1887, was named in memory of the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's coronation. The splendid Gothic station fused with traditional Indian style and covered with lots of delicate stone carvings. It was designed by British architect William Steven.
It has been one of the busiest railway stations around India since it opened. In July 2004, the Victoria Terminus was listed as a World Cultural Heritage.
