"Amazing beer can confuse traffic police!"

The slogan on suspicion of encouraging drunk-driving was advertised by a restaurant in Wuhan the day before yesterday. It is understood that, the beer sold by this restaurant is not really without any alcohol, but with contents of alcohol as low as 05% below. It is also could be drunk if overdrinking this kind of beer.

It is special for drivers to avoid alcohol test from traffic police

According to a person in charge of the restaurant, what they did with the slogan was actually one of the sales promotion activities for some an alcohol-free beer. They promoted this kind of beer is especially for drivers to avoid the severe testing on drunk-driving.

Alcohol-free beer is not really "free"

Reporter learned from the factory of this brand that the contents of alcohol of this kind of beer is under 0.5%; the saying on the slogan is not correct, and it is also could be drunk if overdrinking this kind of beer.

According to the test, when finishing 330ml such beer, the contents of alcohol in blood will be more than 30mg/100ml after the immediate testing on alcohol, which is should be counted as drunk-driving (the standard of drunk-driving is 20mg/100ml-79mg/100ml); if take the test 10 minutes later, the figure of that will become 0. So the key point of testing alcohol is about time and quantity.

Traffic police said restaurant should not promote sales with such slogans, because it is on suspicion of drunk-driving, which is illegal.
