A 50-year-old former wushu champ chased and caught a motorcycle-borne thief who snatched his wife's gold necklace in Dongan county, Hunan province, on Monday.

Yi Yuankun kicked off his leather shoes and ran barefoot to catch the thief.

Yi, a wushu champion in his county in 1984 and 1986, handed over the thief, wanted for many years, to the police.


A 50-year-old former wushu champ chased and caught a motorcycle-borne thief who snatched his wife's gold necklace in Dongan county, Hunan province, on Monday.
