Ancient Xiangyang City applies for World Cultural Heritage

Xiangyang City, a prefecture-level city in central China's Hubei Province, is formed from two ancient cities, Xiangyang and Fancheng. Recently, the local government decided to apply for World Cultural Heritage for Xiangyang Ancient City. The ancient city has been listed among state-level major cultural relic preservation sites since 2001.
