Forty-eight rock carvings from Dazu, mostly dating from the 9th to the 13th century, will be displayed at the museum from Jan. 26 to April 3, the first time of the Dazu rock carvings to be displayed outside China. Started in the middle of the 7th century, the Dazu Rock Carvings are made up of 75 protected sites containing some 50,000 statues, and were listed as a World Heritage Site in 1999. (Xinhua/Zeng Yi)
