Internationally famous action movie star Jet Li and his wife's private villas, with a total construction area of about 5,370 square meters making them equal in scale to a medium-sized shopping mall, are nearly completed in Shanghai. Photo

The houses, which are considered to be more luxurious than those of any other Chinese showbiz celebrities, are located on Huamu Road in Pudong New Area. It was said the land was bought 10 years ago for investigation and the value of the land is about one hundred times higher today.

Shanghai is the hometown of Nina Li, Li's wife. As a result, Jet Li planned to build these palace-like three villas for Nina and their two kids. Photo

The houses were design in the European classic style. In order to avoid the noise from the viaducts, Li also paid a lot for planting the camphor trees and other large-scale plants.

It's still not sure when the family will move to Shanghai because the kids are studying in Singapore now.
