A video monitor recording of a robbery by a knife-wielding man in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, was released online recently.

As the video shows, at 11:53 on Aug. 9 a girl surnamed Zhao was withdrawing money from an ATM machine in a self-service bank in downtown Hangzhou when a man followed her into the bank and covered her mouth before she realized the danger.

The robber cut the girl's arm by fishing out a knife with one hand and snatched the girl's money with the other hand despite the girl's resistance.

Finally, the girl had to surrender her 3,200 yuan to the robber. However, the robber just got 3,100 yuan because the remaining 100 yuan was tattered during the tussle.

After the successful robbery, the man ran out of the bank and escaped in a taxi.

Now, the case is under investigation.
