The 4th NorCal Pirate Festival was held in Vallejo, California, from June 19 to 20 to gather nearly 2,300 pirates, according to reports of British Newspaper DailyMail.

These people, who dressed up as pirates, took part in the event, hoping to set a world record for the most people dressed as pirates in one place.

All participants had to wear red wristbands, stand in one place for 10 minutes and be photographed in order for Guinness to officially recognise the pirate conglomeration.

It was reported that the current titleholder is England's Brixham, where a gathering of 1,722 pirates was recorded.
