Graduates attend a career fair at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhuan, capital of Hubei province, June 6, 2010. The fair was simultaneously held in six other cities in the province with Wuhan as the main venue. There were nearly 10,000 positions available for the 7,632 who graduated this year, with the salary for technical traineeships up to 4,500-5,000 yuan per month. The employment rate of Chinese graduates was 86.6 percent in 2009, an increase of one percent from 2008, according to a report by MyCOS HR Digital Information, a consulting firm on higher education.
