People set up statue of Laozi, founder of Taoism

A ceremony is held to celebrate the completion of the bronze statue of Laozi (or Lao-tzu, Lao-tse 604-531 BC) in Laojunshan Mountain Laozi Culture Garden in Luanchuan County in Luoyang City, central China's Henan Province, May 16, 2010. The 38-meter-high bronze statue has been set here to commemorate Laozi, a China's renowned philosopher and founder of Taoism. (Xinhua/Gao Shanyue)
