Some six anti-government "red- shirt" protestors are contracted with the A/H1N1 influenza, Central Hospital director Doctor Pitchaya Nakwatchara said Sunday.
The Bangkok's Central Hospital reported the fact to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), which will forward the matter to the "red-shirt" core leaders, Thai News Agency quoted Doctor Pitchaya as saying.
The core leaders will be asked to help contain the new flu at the rally site as it is feared more "red-shirts" will be affected by the new flu.
The six "red-shirt" men have already been separated from other patients at the hospital, the doctor said.
The "red-shirt" rally has been held from March 12 as they have demanded Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to "immediately" dissolve the lower House of parliament and hold a new general election.
They are viewing that apart from the House dissolution, there is no other solution to the country's ongoing political conflict.
But, at the same time the number of Thais in "various-color shirts", who have opposed the early House dissolution, is increasingly.
