As Asia's largest ferry terminal, the Tianjin International Cruise Homeport will welcome her first ship in June, according to Tianjin Tourism Bureau.

Occupying a coastline of 625 meters and an area of 0.7 million square meters in its first-stage, the port now has two large international cruise terminal berths and several ancillary rooms. The development will enable the largest cruise liners in the world to dock, with a predicted annual capacity of 500,000 passengers.

The port is near Dongjiang Free Trade Zone, the biggest free trade zone in China, with international shopping malls, hotels and other business service facilities able to support and benefit from the cruise terminal.

Two of the world's top cruise lines, Costa Cruise Lines of Italy and Royal Caribbean International, will use the Tianjin facilities.
