A snowman and the real-life snowman Wang Jun.

Recently, an unprecedented cold front has brought extremely heavy snow, blanketing North China. On the Internet, various winter pictures uploaded by netizens have received a lot of attention.

Among them, the most popular is a set of photos depicting a real-life snowman which has been circulating the Internet since January 3.

In the photos, beside a snowman wearing a blue hat and a red scarf is a man who is covered in snow wearing a striped scarf, who is decorated like a snowman. Due to his body temperature, the snow on his body gradually melts, revealing his naked upper body. As time passes, there is less and less snow covering him, but the snowman beside him remains standing.

According to an insider, the set of photos taken February 10, 2009 are artistic works by Wang Jun, a performance artist in Beijing.

On January 3, 2010, Wang unraveled the whole process of making these works on his blog, which gave rise to the instant popularity of these photos on the Internet.
