Recently, a weird disease-dubbed "office privacy anxiety"-bothers more and more white collars. According to a survey held by sohu.com, half of the surveyed netizens admitted that they used to hear or tell secrets in offices and be anxious about "keeping secrets".
When asked "What kind of secret do you hear most frequently in office", "finding out others shortcomings" ranks the top by 42.82%. While when asked what kind of secret made you feel uneasy most, more than half surveyed netizens chose "company's policy adjustment" and "personnel changes". It can be concluded that white collars care most of their "jobs".
How to deal with the "office secret"?
Some netizens pointed out that keep your own privacy and avoid being the "leading actor" of "office secrets". Do not talk about your private life in the washroom or the corridor of your office where are considered to be the "cradle" of secrets.
Adhere to two principles when facing privacy: Be careful of the boss's privacy; don't hold your colleagues' secrets as the evidences against them.
Hu Zhenzhi, a psychological consultant in Guangzhou, suggested that the more you know the more chance you'll get to be "killed".
Hu also said that to get rid of this "privacy anxiety", you should have a clear awareness of yourself. Pay more attention on improving your own ability rather than these grapevines. The more secrets you know, the more responsibility you should shoulder. As a result, you feel really uneasy and anxious.
Some people always choose to release their pressure by telling the secrets. While when the secrets come to yours lips, ask yourself why you want to do this? Remind yourself that keeping the secrets is your responsibility.
Of course, if you want to get rid of the "privacy anxiety" completely- refuse to receive the secrets at the beginning.
