"There is a current boom in Chinese language learning around the world, and Thailand is no exception," said Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jiuhuan, after the Thailand-Division session of the seventh "Chinese Bridge" world university students Chinese language competition on April 6. Her Royal Highness, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, has been learning Chinese for 26 consecutive years now; and she is fluent in speaking, reading, writing Mandarin, as well as Mandarin-Thai language translation.

Recently, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn visited China and spoke with Chinese leaders in fluent Chinese. She has made outstanding contributions to the Thai-Chinese friendship; won the Chinese people's respect and love; and set a good example for Chinese language and culture studies for Thai people.
