Sino-US coordination and cooperation in such global governance mechanisms as the United Nations and the Group of Twenty, has spurred the promotion of mechanisms reform and adjustment of these institutions. The development of these mechanisms has provided the unprecedented and more space for wide-ranging cooperation.

In a few countries, some people hope to hold up the development of China and, inside the United States, some people very much want to contain China so as to sharpen their sense of security, and they in the meanwhile prompt its development blueprint to operate in line with the "game rules" of the U.S. The case in point includes the Google incident in late February 2010, the issues relating to Taiwan, Tibet and the RMB yuan exchange rate. These phenomena have been turned into barriers to the steady, forward advance of the Sino-US relations.

Sino-US relations have won such a good phase instead of retrograding with risks. The primary reason is that China and the U.S. can focus greater emphases on more dialogue and cooperation from a strategic height and handle bilateral relationship with an overall foresight.

Looking back the process the Sino-US ties have traversed, we can realize that only by standing at the higher historical standing point, can we be aware that the outcome of cooperation is hard won, and so we should be confident in the future.

The growth of Sino-US relations has already exceeded the scope of the two countries and it will impact the entire world; Sino-US cooperation will have a more distinct goal provided its foundation is more solid or reinforced.

All in all, President Hu Jintao's visit to the United States is a very significant arrangement of vital, in-depth importance advanced by both China and the U.S. in the new era. We are sure that China and the U.S. would make new contributions to world peace and development through facing up to the future, joining efforts, seizing opportunities and coping with challenges, thus contributing much more to the world peace and development.
