Chinese diving queen Guo Jingjing's retirement raised the question that who can step in as the successor but Chinese national diving team leader Zhou Jihong Sunday said it takes time to groom a superstar like Guo.

"Grooming a star will be one of the major tasks for Chinese national diving team." Said Zhou. "Guo ushered in a new era, and now no one could take charge as she did."

Zhou said two Olympic champions Wu Minxia and Chen Ruolin have the chance to become the diving queen's successor. She added that both of them are still to be honed.

Wu, 25, won two Olympic gold medals in Athens and Beijing and she is now making effort to recover from injuries. Teenage Chen was crowned the Olympic champion in Beijing at an incredible age of 15.
