On the road against a struggling America-MG, Flamengo won 3-2 in the 7th round of the Brazilian Championship on Wednesday.

Surrounded by criticism and high expectations, Ronaldinho Gaucho led his team to victory by scoring two goals.

Ronaldinho scored the game's first goal, sending a free kick from nearly 30 meters out into the upper right corner of the America-MG goal in the 10th minute of play.

However, the home team responded by taking the lead before halftime. America-MG's first goal was scored by Alessandro in the 38th minute followed by a goal from Anderson in the 45th minute.

Returning to the second half, Thiago Neves served a perfect assist to Deivid who proceeded to angle the ball into the far left side of the America-MG goal in the 56th minute, tying the match.

As the game was winding down, Bottinelli found a wide-open Ronaldinho inside of the goalie box. Receiving the ball, Ronaldinho quickly spun around and blasted the ball into the far left side of the goal, giving his team the win.

Ronaldinho vigorously celebrated his goal and his team's victory. The goal marks Ronaldinho's fifth goal of the competition after seven rounds, giving him the title as the league's leading scorer.

The result improves Flamengo to third place with 13 points. America-MG remains in 17th place with 5 points. In the 8th round of play, Flamengo will host first place Sao Paulo on July 6 while America-MG will receive Palmeiras on the following day.
