Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Espanyol winger Jose Callejon on Monday.

The club has agreed a five year deal to take the player, who began his career in the Real Madrid youth system back to the club in a deal thought to be worth around seven million dollars.

Callejon has spent the past three seasons with Espanyol and the 24-year-old has been one of his side's best players this season, scoring six goals in the Spanish La Liga and setting up a further seven goals for his teammates.

The winger is Real Madrid's third signing for the new season, joining Turkish duo Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop at the club which is coached by Jose Mourinho.
