Sao Paulo beats Goias to reach Brazilian Cup quarterfinals

At home against Goias in the second leg of the round of 16 in the 2011 Brazilian Cup, Sao Paulo won 1-0 on Wednesday, and made it to the quarterfinals with a 2-0 aggregate score.

The game's only goal came from Dagoberto.

In the 19th minute, the striker received a great ball from Carlinhos Paraiba. Dagoberto slid while firing an angled shot into the far left corner of the Goias goal, scoring the game's only goal and sealing his team's passage into the next round.

Sao Paulo's next opponent will be Avai in the quarterfinals of the nation-wide tournament. The winner of the Brazilian Cup earns a spot in the 2012 Libertadores Cup.
