Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo said on Friday that he was looking forward to the four games his side will play against FC Barcelona between now and May 3.

The marathon of matches between the two biggest sides in Spain begins on Saturday in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium when they meet in the BBVA Primera Liga.

The show then travels to Valencia where the two teams dispute the final of the Copa del Rey, before returning to the Bernabeu a week later for the first leg of their Champions League semi final.

The last meeting is in Barcelona's Camp Nou Stadium on May 3, making it an intense 19 day period in which the destiny of three titles will all but be decided.

"It is a very important month for all Madrid fans, We have to be positive and to have confidence. We have to think of it as one of the moments in life that you have to try and enjoy and I am happy about it," said Ronald in an interview on Real Madrid television.

"I don't think two sides have ever played each other four times like this before in football and we have to enjoy it. It is exciting and good for football," he added.

Real Madrid look to have no chance of winning the league as they trail Barca by eight points with just seven matches left to play. However, should they beat Barcelona to win their first Cup in 18 years and then knock their bitter rivals out of Europe, it would mean the season being qualified as a success.

"I see the players looking positive and that is a good sign. We are in the perfect mood to reach the end of the season and the team looks to be mature. We are all together in this final straight in which it is going to be all or nothing and we are prepared for it," continued Ronaldo.

The Portuguese international formed part of the Madrid side that was humiliated 5-0 away to Barcelona earlier in the season, but he believes that things have changed since then.

"We have to be an we are in our best form to play this end of the season. I feel confident and a lot of players are still fresh. It will be a good finish," assured Ronaldo.
