Germany is ready to host the FIFA women's World Cup in June with half a million tickets already sold, said Theo Zwanziger, the president of the German Football Federation (DFB) Wednesday.

The three-week long women's World Cup will kick off at Berlin's Olympic Stadium with the opening match Germany against Canada on June 26, while the final will be held in Frankfurt on July 17.

"All together, the planning is coming along well," said Zwanziger. "The basic structure for the tournament is already laid out. We are very, very well prepared." He said.

Up until now 515,000 tickets have been sold for the tournament's 32 games and the opening match is expected to sell out the 74,228-capacity Olympic Stadium in the capital city.

"Once we sell between 630,000 to 650,000, then we will have reached the break-even point and we will achieve that," said Zwanziger.
