Sao Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio announced on Wednesday his intention to keep fullback Alex Silva on board.

The player is currently with the team on a loan from Germany's Hamburg SV.

Silva's loan from Hamburg expires in June, 2011. However, Juvencio revealed his club's intent on purchasing the athlete as a top priority.

Sao Paulo is attempting to prepare for the departure of star defender Miranda. Head coach Cesar Carpegiani declared that Silva will be an essential piece of his team's defense in Miranda's absence.
