BBVA Primera Liga leaders Real Madrid entertain local rivals Atletico in the standout game of Spain's matchday 10.

Sunday's Madrid derby is one of the key games of the season, but in recent years Real Madrid have always had the upper hand over Atletico, who have not won a derby since returning to the top flight in 2002.

Real go in to the match unbeaten and with their morale sky high after Pedro Leon's last minute goal in Milan gave them a 2-2 draw in the San Siro Stadium.

Coach Jose Mourinho has no major injury worries, but could decide to replace the out of form Pepe with fit-again Raul Albiol.

Atletico meanwhile need to take points to avoid their habitual slide into mid-table mediocrity. All eyes will be on strikers Kun Aguero and Diego Forlan, but the absences of central defenders Godin and Perea could be more decisive for the eventual result.

Barcelona is also playing in Madrid with a trip to Getafe on Sunday evening.

Barca recaptured its league form last weekend with a 5-0 triumph over Sevilla, but once again there are doubts over the fitness of midfielder Xavi Hernandez, who continues with his Achilles heel problems.
