Botafogo took a 2-0 home win over Sao Paulo in the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship on Sunday.

The win marks the team's third win in the month of September.

Driving past the defense, Caio blasted a shot-on-goal against Sao Paulo's veteran and captain keeper Rogerio Ceni. Ceni deflected the ball, but striker Loco Abreu was in perfect position to fire the rebound into the back of the net in the 67th minute.

In the 80th minute, Renato Caja passed the ball off to Edno who then drove the ball past an approaching Ceni, scoring his team's second and defining goal.

The win takes Botafogo to 37 points, finishing the round in third place. In the next round of play, the team will travel to face Goias on September 15.

Sao Paulo's three-game winning streak came to an end with the loss. The team remains with 28 points, droping to ninth place. In the 22nd round of play, the team will receive Internacional on September 16.
