Santos star striker Neymar will stay on at the Brazilian club, club president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro said on Thursday.

The news came after a long romance between England's soccer team Chelsea and the 18-year-old striker.

After more than two months of Chelsea's constant flirting with Neymar, Santos was able to secure him for the next five years. The striker listened to the advice of both Brazilian national team's head coach, Mano Menezes, and soccer legend Pele, opting to stay in Brazil to develop his talent.

Santos asked no less than 35 million euros for Neymar. However, Chelsea's highest offer does not exceed 25 million euros, causing Ribeiro to make an easy decision.

In addition, Ribeiro said another 10 million euros would be added if any other team wants to buy him before his current contract expires.
